PRINCE HARRY on joe marler will see you now

Mon 13th, Jul, 2026

Joe Marler has today announced Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex as the latest guest on his chart-topping entertainment podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now, releasing on Monday 13th July.

To mark one year to go until Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, The Duke appears alongside former Invictus Games competitor and broadcaster JJ Chalmers, sitting down with Joe Marler and co-host Jake Bhardwaj. True to the show’s trademark playful format, the conversation weaves lighter moments through weightier ground, covering trauma, coping mechanisms, identity and grief.

The collaboration reflects values shared by The Duke, Joe Marler and Invictus Games Birmingham 2027: resilience, recovery, mental fitness, and the role that honest conversation, humour and connection can play in supporting wellbeing.

The podcast landed one year ahead of the Games, which take place in Birmingham in July 2027. The Invictus Games help wounded, injured and sick veterans and service personnel recover, share their challenges and rebuild their identity – a mission whose impact reaches far beyond sport, and one that has long been close to The Duke’s heart.

Also joining the episode is JJ Chalmers, a former Royal Marine Commando and close friend of The Duke, who was seriously injured by an IED in Helmand in 2011. JJ competed in the inaugural Invictus Games London 2014, winning gold in trike cycling as team captain, plus two bronze medals.

After a glittering rugby career, Joe Marler has become known for normalising conversations about mental health, using his podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now, to explore difficult topics with warmth and humour alongside co-host and comedian Jake Bhardwaj. Despite its playful, irreverent tone, the show tackles deep and meaningful topics that have inspired many, The Duke being one of them. It has amassed over 9.5 million long form streams and 170 million social media views to date.

Joe Marler, speaking to the show’s ability to make space for mental health: “We try to pride ourselves on the ability to go from light to dark to serious to fun, because, for me, it’s just one big conversation.”
